The COMPANY:  A highly successful and profitable specialist industrial technology business, serving the UK and export markets, established 20 years and with manufacturing facilities in England, Scotland and Benelux. The firm has been recognised with industry and national trade awards, including in the Sunday Times FastTrack 100.

The ROLE: A full-mix Senior Marketing Manager remit to drive forward the company’s strategy and manage the in-house marketing team of five people. Key areas of responsibility:

• Online and Digital Marketing – to manage and implement the company’s extensive web and mobile/digital marketing strategy (their main channel to market). To oversee the overseas extension/adaption of websites, content, SEO, User Experience (UX) management, PPC, online display advertising and video development.

Strategy - To develop and drive the overall marketing strategy including customer acquisition and retention initiatives. 

Product Marketing – including brochure copywriting, full product launch mix, researching new markets, identifying new applications and delivering product support campaigns for the overseas agent/dealer network.
• Online and Digital Marketing – to provide overall direction and strategy for the company’s extensive web and mobile/digital marketing. To oversee the overseas extension/adaption of websites, content, SEO, User Experience (UX) management, PPC, online display advertising and video development.
• Direct Marketing – management of CRM and integration, marketing data capture, e-shots, newsletters, development of printed literature and case study copywriting.
• Offline – event management, overseeing PR (awards nominations, press releases, blogs, social media), budgetary control, channel management, competitor research and the direction and supervision of key marketing suppliers/agencies.


The SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE will be a marketing or business graduate and/or a CIM Dip (or similar) and a proven track record of three years or more in a similar role, ideally within an industrial product, engineering or technical field. Prior experience of staff management, digital marketing and dynamic campaign delivery – online and offline - are all critical to this position. Strong all-round IT and interpersonal skills are also essential as is the flair for preparing concise, accurate and illuminating copy. You should be naturally creative and ‘ideas-driven’ as well as ‘technology savvy’ with a genuine interest in leading-edge technology products and their applications.  Knowledge of Wordpress and Magento CMS would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided. To be hired for this important job you must be a team player who can ‘lead from the front’ but not be too proud to get your hands dirty with the detail when required.
