Bids & Proposals Coordinator

The Company:    Our client is an award-winning and highly successful plc, a ‘rising star’ of the construction and building services industry, delivering leading-edge new build, fit out and refurbishment services in the UK and internationally - with operations in Europe and Asia.               

The Role:  To work closely with the Regional Proposals Manager and the senior management team to plan, coordinate and contribute to high-impact proposals/tenders, mostly in InDesign. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate, review and refresh proposals files and databases.
  • Attend start-up meeting with production team and management to agree bid content, presentation and actions.
  • Provide all-round supervisory support, as required, to the Proposals team.
  • Liaise with estimators, planners and delivery team to capture key information
  • Prepare material for post-tender interview and responses

The Ideal Candidate will be a Bids/Proposals/Tenders Executive or Assistant with a minimum 12 months' relevant experience, ideally within the construction and building services sector (can also include M&E, FM, architects etc). To be considered you need to conform to most of the following:

  • A high level of IT literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, planning software and especially DTP packages such as InDesign (preferred)
  • Excellent written English and eye to detail - vital for the creative writing aspects of the role
  • The ability to bring innovation and creativity to the content, presentation and overall process
  • A pleasant and confident personal manner, the ability to think laterally and propose a systematic approach to work
  • A composed approach under pressure and experience in delivering to tight deadlines
  • A proactive and energetic team member.

The position commences in June 2019 and is based in central Manchester, conveniently located for all public transport.
