Brand Manager (initial one year maternity cover)

The Company: A national market-leading luxury interiors and home furnishings company, established 60 years, with market-leading consumer franchise and B2B operations.

The Role: A talented and dedicated Brand Manager is sought for an initial one year’s maternity cover, to oversee all aspects of the brand and its category/proposition marketing and to further develop the online, offline and retail partner/affiliate channels. Key responsibilities:

• Direct - and take a key creative lead in - the further development of the brand, its presentation, core values and market individuality etc, managing the budget for promotional spend, above and below the line

• Develop the online consumer brand and lead generation/pipeline via digital marketing channels, campaigns and social media, liaising with partner marketing agencies.

• Content copywriting for blog posts and planning/scheduling of social media platforms, targeting the company’s consumer audience.

• Help maintain the company’s website, adding and amending product details, images and landing pages and updating the retailer and store concessions map/list.

• Respond to PR requests, sourcing expert comments, copy submissions and image requests etc.

• Build affiliate marketing relationships and manage retailer 'spotlights’ and partner programmes etc.

• Organise and attending photoshoots at studios and on location.

• Present regular management reports on the critical KPIs, campaign RoI, competitor activity and market data.

This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile product marketer who wants to work on a high-profile premium luxury lifestyle brand.  There is the potential to make the role permanent, even if the job holder returns after maternity cover, seeing as the company’s marketing team is expanding. 

The Ideal Candidate will be an experienced consumer marketer – most likely a graduate with a strong degree, CIM Diploma or similar qualification - who can demonstrate prior success in a similar role within a premium brand possibly (but not necessarily) within the home-furnishings or interiors sector. The essential requirements, apart from 2-3 years’ relevant experience, are a strong digital marketing/social media pedigree, a passion for brand-building, a natural creative flair and the style, energy and personality to inspire colleagues, retail partners, suppliers and customers.  Excellent all-round communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders is critical - as is a keen commercial eye for the bottom line.

The role is office-based in north Cheshire, conveniently located for easy access from all points of NW England.
