The COMPANY:   A highly successful and profitable specialist industrial technology business,                                         serving the UK and export markets, established 15 years and operating from the north and south of England. The firm has been recognised with industry and national trade awards notably twice being included in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.



The ROLE:   A full-mix Marketing Manager role to drive the Company’s strategy, hold the budget and manage a small team and supplier agencies.  This is a creative, commercial and developmental remit which offers the real prospect of an ultimate board position.  Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy - To develop and drive the overall marketing strategy including customer acquisition and retention initiatives. Manage a sizeable marketing budget
  • Product Marketing – supervising the full product launch mix, researching new markets, channel management and delivering product support campaigns for the overseas agent/dealer network.
  • Online and Digital Marketing – to provide overall direction and strategy for the company’s extensive web and mobile/digital marketing. To oversee the overseas extension/adaption of websites, content, SEO, User Experience (UX) management, PPC, online display advertising and video development.
  • Communications and Direct Marketing - overseeing PR, awards nominations, collateral and publicity. Management of CRM, e-shots, newsletters and case study copywriting.
  • Commercial Research - directing brand/product research, competitor monitoring and wider commercial lead generation.
  • Event Management – including delivery of the company’s participation in the flagship annual industry exhibition (Paris) via support events agencies.


The IDEAL CANDIDATE will be a graduate and/or a CIM Dip (or similar) with a proven track record of at least three years in a similar role perhaps – but not necessarily - within an industrial, engineering or manufacturing product field.  Prior experience of managing a marketing team, campaign delivery and digital marketing are also critical to the position. Strong all-round IT and interpersonal skills are also essential.  You should be naturally creative and have a genuine interest in leading-edge technology products and their applications. You will need to ‘lead from the front’ but also not be too proud to get your ‘hands dirty with the detail’ when required.
