Our Client is a progressive and innovational professional services firm based on Merseyside with an impressive region-wide client list and a national sector-leading specialism. 

The Role: A full Head of Marketing & Business Development remit, reporting to the firm's senior management (Partners) with a comprehensive brief to implement the growth plan, initiate a major rebrand and oversee the lead-generation pipeline for new client opportunities. Key areas of responsibility:

·Define and instigate a 2022 re-brand and re-invigorated commercial proposition.

·Supervise research to identify target clients and market business development opportunities.

·Help secure and lead introductory meetings with prospects.

·Manage and develop a departmental team - presently 4 people but certain to grow.

·Mentor and coach Partners to help them cultivate relationships and process their client action plans.

·Attend networking events and management meetings and encourage Partner and fee-earner attendance, thereby contributing to the event agenda where required.

·Manage the business development pipeline, taking responsibility for initiating contact with lapsed/former clients and other targets before involving cross-departmental colleagues as appropriate, whilst maintaining relationships with the partners and department heads - thereby progressing their business development goals in a robust manner.

·Compile and manage the firm's marketing activity budget, including the instruction/supervision of supplier agencies (digital, PR etc).

·KPI reporting - reviewing BD activity and lead generation - regularly communicating progress against the firm's objectives and targets, as appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate is likely to be a graduate in marketing, communications or management and/or the holder of an MBA or CIM Diploma - in addition to possessing successful prior marketing/BD leadership experience within a professional services firmThe ability to work in a multi-disciplined partnership culture and coach partners are essential for the role. The job holder will thus require first class interpersonal skills and be confident presenting to colleagues. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the one of the region's 'rising star' firms and carries a competitive remuneration package in addition to excellent career prospects. The position is presently office-based, until completion of the 3-month probation period, but can potentially thereafter be conducted from home 2 or perhaps 3 days per week
