Our CLIENT is a fast-growing diversified B2B company, established six years, now turning over £30m+ per annum, with four websites and a portfolio of revenue/product streams.


The ROLE:    Although the title is ‘Officer’ this is effectively a junior manager role with significant responsibility. The job holder will be the webmaster for up to 5 sites, reporting to the Group Marketing Manager  Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Collaborate on overall direction and strategy for web and mobile marketing, internationalisation of websites, SEO, social media, PPC and online display advertising.
  • Digital marketing communications: Help organise the delivery of mobile marketing, content and SEO. Take a key collaborative role in the management of social media campaigns, PPC, digital PR, video development and channel management.
  • Websites: Take the lead on the management of websites, including content, the CMS, the marketing development of existing sites and (occasionally) helping to spec’ a new one.
  • E-commerce & Online Product Listings: Management of e-commerce websites and online product listings, including the sale and promotion of used and second-hand products.
  • Advertising:  Coordinating PPC and online advertising, regularly reviewing and amending keywords and ad groups to optimise performance. Maintain the firm’s presence on third party sites and portals, ensuring all promotional messages are current.
  • New Business:    Use digital channels to increase brand awareness and help drive traffic.
  • Content: This is not a content-heavy role (there is a dedicated content writer in the team)  but you will occasionally be involved in creating and curating content - including posts and video etc - for use on websites, social media and email marketing.
  • Reporting: Monitor, analyse and report on digital marketing KPIs to improve performance, using tools such as Google Analytics, so that amendments and improvements can be made where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be a graduate – possibly in Marketing or Digital Media – who has a minimum of three years’ post-grad’ experience in managing commercial websites and mapping out their strategy and development. A solid understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, Adwords and Google Analytics, is fundamental to the role. Equally important is a creative eye, strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively – sometimes under deadline pressure – without compromising on quality and accuracy.  Prior experience of working in Adobe Suite and a basic level of competence in HTML, CSS or Javascript would be useful added advantages but are not essential.  Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, are a ‘must have’.
